I don’t know how I do what I do.
Not a terribly convincing line to open a website with when my intention is to persuade you to work with me, but I find it an absolutely essential mindset to be in for any work I do. Whether that work is acting or tutoring, whether if I’m approaching a new character to portray in a story or a new student, I believe that it is best to begin from a place of humility.
Humility walks hand-in-hand with fascination, one of the best tools at my disposal as an actor and tutor. If I don’t know what I’m doing, then I can discover it freshly each time it is approached, differently for each role or each child. It also requires a strong sense of pragmatism. I must come to the character or the student as they are, understand them in their own terms.
The most humbling thing of all, however, would be a request from you, dear website visitor, to work with you. I’m some guy who, apparently, happens to be good at this stuff. I cannot begin to describe how much your trust and faith would mean to me.
I object to the use of AI generated art of any variety. This includes voiceover, visual art, and background actors. I will not accept work from anyone who engages in these practices.
