“Arcadia” is a 1993 play by Tom Stoppard concerning the relationship between past and present, order and disorder, certainty and uncertainty. It has been praised by many critics as the finest play from one of the most significant contemporary playwrights in the English language.

A tutor in early 1800s Britain for a girl who was genius enough to discover the eventual heat death of the universe without modern technology. Something of an anti-hero. Bold, sardonic, seductive, often even rude or secretive. But ultimately has a good heart and loses his mind after the only girl who might really understand him dies in a fire.
